Re: [Mid-AntrimGenealogy] Millars of Dunsilly
- Hi Camille,I have only just remembered this Millar connection and have never followed up this family so the answer is I don't know. I will dig into my files tomorrow to see if I have any more on them & start tracking the Millars of Dunsilly. I thought Thomas Millar of Dunsilly might connect to Robert Orr's family but have to look up my earliest Gawn records to see when John Tilly Gawn of Kilbride died.CheersLinda (NZ)Hi, any chance your MILLARs moved to Scotland? My GGG Grandmother Margaret MILLAR was born abt 1825, which would fit your Margaret well. My Margaret MILLAR was married in Aberdeen, Scotland on 2 Jun 1846 to John BRUCE. I have their 4 children but nothing else on the family. Could there be a match?Cheers,Camille in MarylandSearching in Co. Down: GRANT, MCCONNEL/MCCONNELL, PARKS/PARKE/PARK, PAYNE/PAINE

Subject: [Mid-AntrimGenealogy] Millars of DunsillyI noticed another member has an interest in the Millars of Dunsilly so I thought I would share my information.
My 4x gt grandfather Thomas Gawn was originally from Donegore but his second wife was Martha Maxwell of Dunsilly, married probably c1796, and moved to Dunsilly on marriage. My 3 xt gt grandfather Robert Gawn was born in Dunsilly 1797
Two children from Thomas' first marriage to Nancy Gray of Tobergill, were Elizabeth Gawn born c1794 and John Tilly Gawn born 1795.
Betty married Willliam MILLAR. Children were William b1820, Robert b1823, Elizxabeth b1825, Magaret b1828 and Nancy b 1830.
When John Gawn (Betty's brother) made his will Thomas Millar of Dunsilly and William Millar of Kilgavanagh were trustees.
