    To my fellow North Americans - called - Canadians it is fitting that the first ship to pass Fort McHenry in the tall ships (40 of them) arriving at Baltimore harbor for part of the War of 1812 200th year celebration was the 426 foot Canadian destroyer HMC Iroquois which just happens to be the name of a Indian tribe. The ship fired a 21 gun salute which was answered (see picture) by a battery of 1812 cannons from the fort.
