    FYI:  It is my understanding that Dr. Weldon Petz will be giving a lecture about Julia Wheelock (of the MI Women's Relief Corps) at the Williamston Historical Society Museum on Thursday evening, Oct 15, 2009 @ 6:30 pm  www.williamstonmuseum.com

    The Depot Museum is located in the historic town of Williamston, Michigan, 15 miles east of Lansing, Michigan.

    Williamston Area Men in the Civil War
    This exhibit opened March 8, 2009. Included in the exhibit are articles that George Traver brought back from the Civil War as well as items from John Sweeney, Eli P. Alexander, George Byers, Stephen P. Leighton and Merritt Andress. Also included are lists of the area men who served in the Michigan 26th Infantry.
    Many of the items are on loan from Keith Traver, Ed and Bobbi Sweeney, Mitch Lutzke, Nancy Ann Webb, Val Berryman, Linda Siciliano, Tom and Marge Clay and the Michigan State University Museum.
