Subject: [MichiganFoxHunter] Fox Hunt, July 20, 2013.
There are those who are really good at Fox Hunting, and then there are
those who are fun to watch Fox Hunting.
And so it was, starting at 9 am. The Vixen went on the air from an
undisclosed location. Thirty minutes later, and in a direct road drive
to the transmitter, Laryn, K8TVZ once again exhibited his RF nose.
The Vixen was located at the Chick'n Lick'n Restaurant, on the SW corner
of 64th St. and Byron Road smack dab in the heart of downtown Vriesland.
She was inside an air conditioned building, with her car with the Fox
Box transmitter parked just outside her window. There was a sign on her
driver door window, "Winner, winner, Chicken Dinner!'. Indeed, Laryn
received a free breakfast. A note. Where else does a fox belong, but in
a hen house named Chick'n Lick'n?
Ten minutes behind Laryn, but with a few more miles, was Tom, K8TB.
A while later, Mike, W8DER showed up, pulling up right alongside the
Mike came inside and joined Sheila, Laryn and Tom in watching a show
that should have been televised. There were two fox hunters, who were
parked across the street, and for 30 very amusing moments, could not
locate anything. Their names will not be released.
But, with 15 seconds to spare on the 2 hour time limit, Chuck, AJ8W
James, K8JHR walked into the restaurant. Was it mentioned that the
restaurant was air conditioned, has great food and bathrooms?
A good time was had by all. OK, a good time was had by most.
Next Hunt? It's up to Laryn.
