      Round Valley '13
      Updated on Monday
      I arrived later then I
wanted. Then I found out you have to hike in to the campsites 3 miles.
What was I to do? I went down to the boat ramp close to sunset and
looked out. A ranger came by and asked if I planned on putting in. I
said yes and showed him my ramp pass. I asked him how late you were
allowed to stay out on the water and he said there were no restrictions.
So I loaded the boat and started to sail across the reservoir with the
intention of sleeping on my boat. I soon realized that I could see the
camp fires at the camp ground across the lake so I sailed toward them as
the sun set at my back. It was a beautiful night sail and it is the
first one I have ever done. 1.5 or 2 hours later I got across the lake.
It was about 9 or 930pm. I setup my boom tent and tried sleeping but
there was too much slapping on the hull so I pull the boat onto shore at
about 3am. I quickly went to sleep. at 7am I found a guy fishing right
next to me. I was supposed to be camping in site number 64. I asked him
which spot he was in and it turns out I was at site 65!!! I had gotten
really close. I went back to ramp and met up with my friends and sailed
the rest of the day and set up my camp. Thanks to Paul Truszkowski Steve
Bosquiet and Bob Throne for a good time. The boat sailed really well
with the new vang and down hull. it is now faster by about .5 or a 1
mile an hour and points at least 5 degrees closer to the wind. I can
sail about 25 or 30 degrees off the wind with the new rigging setup. I
am very impressed with the piccup.

First off Jim doesn't ever check this group out Bill. You have to email him. Second I just now made that Album open to the public. So you shouldn't have a problem now. If you do have a problem then just look me up on facebook and it is posted on my public wall.

      thanks
