      Get to Know Gulf

Miami Wine Lover takes you to Spain with Ribera del Duero wines!

Spain has been producing wine in this region for 2,000 years. Discover its signature grape of Tempranillo from the Protos vineyard. Visit Bodegas Protos and learn of the Ribera region on the Drink Ribera, Drink Spain website.

Bottles tasted are 10% OFF these listed prices the day of the tasting!
      2008 Protos Verdejo   $15.99
      RP 90

Enjoy one of the best white varieties in Spain. This grape makes very aromatic, glyceric, soft wines with body. You?ll take in the freshness of this wine with a good alcohol-acidity balance. Straw yellow with greenish hues, it brings to mind citric and tropical fruits with a bitter finish you'll enjoy.

      2006 Protos Crianza  $26.99

100% Tempranillo. The waiting period to enjoy this wine is 24 months (12 months in American and French oak barrel and another 12 in its own bottle). View the cherry red with purple overtones. And enjoy the bouquet of ripe fruit aromas with toasted oak notes. The taste reminds you of a hundred things, but what is most incredible is the sensation it leaves in the mouth.

      2007 Protos Duero Roble   $15.99

89 POINTS by Wine Enthusiast Magazine Top 100 Best Buy Wines for 2008!

100% Tempranillo. Aged in 100% American Oak for 6 months and another 6 in the bottle, these are select grapes (100% Tinta del pais) carefully fermented. You just couldn't imagine that fermenting select grapes and watching over the temperature would yield such a wine. Exhibits a cherry red colour with subtle aromas of red fruit, and a background of vanilla scents from the wood. You won?t miss its fruity tones and long, elegant finish
