This line appears to be the line of Captain Bartolome González founder line of Monterrey (born 1598 in Moran, Castile, Spain, and died 02 Feb 1691/92 in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico). The genetic signature of this line is here in the Sorenson database (login first then click on the preceeding link). Note: Bartolome González's third wife was Ana Quintanilla. They had three sons, Joseph González Quintanilla, Bartolome González Quintanilla and Nicolas Quintanilla. It was common in colonial times for a son to take his Mother's paternal line surname. Here is the line on Y-search - Gary Felix

These are differences in your Gonzalez line YDNA. Generally speaking the more differences there are the more distant the relationship.
What is the FTDNATiP Calculator? How do I use it? faq id: 385
FTDNATiP is a program that calculates Time to the Most Recent Common Ancestor (TMRCA). It uses STR marker mutation rates for more accurate calculations.
You can click on the Tip icon by your matches to determine this relationship.

The only info I had to go on is his name Luis Armando Gonzalez Trevino (Trevino mothers name) he settled in Eagle Pass, Texas (1906). I finally found what I believe to be his birth record which stated he was born on August 1880 > In Guadalupe LN > That he was the legitimate son of Guillermo Gonzalez and Petra Trevino > Paternal grandparents > Ygnacio Gonzalez > Antonia Trevino > Maternal grandparents > Antonio Trevino > Genovena Gonzalez > > My ysearch ID SU86A > > If I forgot anything please let me know. > I just received 67 marker results and it list Raul S Gonzalez 4 steps and Miguel A Gonzalez 5 steps > What does that mean? > I was able to find Miguel's 67 markers and I compared all match put 4 is that still ok? Could not find Raul's 67 to compare. Anyway sorry for all the question and thanks for your time. > Ana > Question on ysearch > > Sent from my iPhone >
