581Gonzalez Northeastern Founder lineage
- Aug 24, 2013Hi Ana,sorry about that. We have been in contact off list so we know that your Brother's YDNA matches this founder line:
This line appears to be the line of Captain Bartolome González founder line of Monterrey (born 1598 in Moran, Castile, Spain, and died 02 Feb 1691/92 in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico). The genetic signature of this line is here in the Sorenson database (login first then click on the preceeding link). Note: Bartolome González's third wife was Ana Quintanilla. They had three sons, Joseph González Quintanilla, Bartolome González Quintanilla and Nicolas Quintanilla. It was common in colonial times for a son to take his Mother's paternal line surname. Here is the line on Y-search - Gary FelixThe posting would have your Brother's haplogroup and 25 marker results along with geographical information. You can post to Ysearch automatically on your Brother's YDNA Matches page at the bottom after you run a search. If you have done so please pass along your Ysearch ID and I can link it to the ysearch button by your name on the project page. Otherwise I can do it for you and Y search will email your password and user ID.Please let me know the following:The migration pattern of your surname line.Your earliest surname line ancestor and the year they were born as well as where they were born.Any family mysteries you are looking to solve?Best,GaryMexico DNA Project Admin. From: agtorres <agtorres@...>
