Two bomb attacks in Iraq have killed at least 33 people - many of them
      soldiers - Iraqi police say.
A bomb planted by the roadside between the towns of Tikrit and Baiji
killed at least 19 soldiers and injured 13 as they passed by in a bus.

In central Baghdad's Karrada district, at least 14 people - soldiers and
civilians - were killed and 22 wounded in a suicide car bombing.

It happened outside a bank where security forces were collecting pay.

      Kidnappings

The bomb was in a car parked outside a security cordon at the
al-Rafidein bank on Rushdie Street, where security personnel collect wages on
      the first of every month.

Lt Col Abbas Mohammed Salman of the Iraqi police told the AP news agency
eight civilians, three soldiers and three commandos were killed.

On Monday, about 20 people were kidnapped from offices in Baghdad.

There is still no word on what has happened to them.
