Seen from the points of interests in mental maths, the topic may be an ugly one.
However, my feeling when I try to play the classic solitaire game mahjongg*
comes close to a deeper level of concentration which arises my question:

can we learn to think faster? to get inputs faster? if possible, we may have
much better chances to "process faster" and increase our brain capalibities.

I am assuming that you mean by several orders of magnitude - if that is an error, please let me know.? Aside from hypnotic time dilation and rumors about lentation,
I have not found anything testable and repeatable but am excited to hear of other possibilities.
