John Hunter brought up some questions concerning the status of that species in Lake and Mendocino.

Lake County has 3 records; 5-29-1999 at Goat Mt. (near Snow Mt.)
      5-26-2001 Snow Mt
      5-26-2002 Snow Mt

The fact Mendocino County has no records is probably due to a lack of coverage more than anything.
They almost certainly move through the county (especially in the spring) along the coast and through the interior mountains.
John pointed out that he finds them during April and May. Maybe more interior Mt. (and coastal) birding during that period will turn one up. Gray Flycatcher is on all of the top 10 lists submitted so far. It should be added to the Mendocino list soon?
