American Avocet - Ten Mile River Mouth 8/22
- Thur, 22 August, 2013 -- Jim Havlena found a lone AMERICAN AVOCET early this morning
at the mouth of the Ten Mile River. It was already in basic plumage. Even though other birds
were with it, and no animals disturbed it, the bird was skittish and flew to several spots, always
moving south. It eventually flew further south down Ten Mile beach.
