Palm Warbler - Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens
- View SourceSorry for a late post, but a Palm Warbler was found 01/16/08
by Richard Hubacek and Trudy Jensen. The bird was just
west of the "vegetable garden" at the Mendocino Coast
Botanical Gardens in an area of piles of cuttings and composting
activity. Toby Tobkin thinks that this could be the same bird
the same group saw in November.
The MC Botanical Gardens are on Hwy 1 a short distance
south of the intersection of Hwy 20 and Hwy 1, in south
Fort Bragg. There is a fee to enter the gardens. Personnel
can give directions to the vegetable garden.
Also, offshore from the gardens, Toby saw a White-winged
Scoter fly by on the same day.
