      Wed, 29 Aug 2001 -- This afternoon Dorothy Tobkin saw two golden plovers at
      Virgin Creek Beach. One was an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER and was among the
      Black-bellied Plovers that usually loaf on the beach near the creek mouth.
      This bird may have moved on. The other was a PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER and was
      alone on the beach further to the north.

      Some Mendobirders way not yet be aware that a COMMON GREENSHANK has
      been seen in McKinleyville, HUM, CA on Aug 27, 28, and 29. Contact the
