here have that issue, spending lots of time following up on claims
only to discover that they HAVE been paid and the provider just did
not forward the EOB? I want to charge him extra for the extra work.

      Many Thanks,

Hi Deb,  Can you check the status of a claim on-line?  It s quick, you get the eob and you can send him the eob with the next invoice.   maryann

I have the same problem and even though I can check many online there are
times when I have to call the insurance company. The issues I have with this
problem are that it's wasting my valuable time and per my contract the
provider is to send me all of the eob's.

I switched him to the flat fee immediately, equivalent to his customary monthly amount, plus extra lol. i dont have time to be chasing no eob's wasting all my time only to find out it was paid 2-3 months ago. and advise how they will be missing out on 2nd ins payments and patients posrtion, ie copay coinsurance and deductible. they act like they dont understand why we need the eob, see how fast they will find them. you have to detach the check from the eob, they knows.
