They go in my "to be posted folder" I post according to the date rec'd. I
highlight my EOBs and check them off after they are posted. The checking
helps me in case I am interrupted. ..I can tell where I left off. They then
go in my "posted folder" I balance at the end of each day, along with the
receptionist' s cash payments for the day, and then I put on a cover page. I
file all my EOBs by date posted. I'd like to start scanning the EOBs, but I
don't know who would do it. We are a very small office (nurse, Dr.,
reception, & myself). Something to work towards I guess.

Here's an example of my cover page.

        BATCH COVER

        BATCH DATE:_______ _________ _________ ____

        KEYED DATE:_______ _________ _________ ____

        KEYED BY:_________ ___

        PAYMENT TOTAL $:__________ _________ _____

        ADJUSTMENT TOTAL $:__________ _________ __

        REFUND TOTAL$:_____ _________ _________ ___

        MISC. (explain) $:__________ ___

        Hope that helps!
