              Hi Melinda,
I reviewed your work on "How to Calculate Fees" which I downloaded from this group. It was of great help to me in understanding the process to set up & compare fee schedules.

I have a question; I downloaded the RVU file from CMS Site. Does the RVU values remain same for any type of physicians like Family Physician, Internal Medicine or any other Specialists?

Our doctor is a Family Physician. So, I have to refer PPRRVU file. Is that right?

              Thanks,
              R. Jaganath

They are the same for all physicians, no matter the speciality. However, there are different RVUs for DME (Durable Medical Equipment/Supplies), Clinical Laboratory, and Ambulance.

You do want the PPRVU file. I am also Family Practice and use this file & process to determine our fees.

Were the documents I provided easy to understand? Do I need to make any changes to them, or clarify any areas? I'm always looking to improve documents I provide to others and any feedback is appreciated.

May be you can breif about the RVU implications which will be helpful for people like me who had no idea about fee schedule set up.

You're most welcome! Once you figure out what you're supposed to do, it's fairly easy, just really time consuming. Glad to know the process worked for you. Were the documents I provided easy to understand? Do I need to make any changes to them, or clarify any areas? I'm always looking to improve documents I provide to others and any feedback is appreciated.

Applicability? meaning how does it affect practices, or what RVUs mean to practices, or how RVUs are calcualted? Some more info here or an example would be helpful.

                          Thanks!
