483May 6-8: Volunteer for Medford Bicycle-Pedestrian Count

      From Tues., May 6 through Thurs., May 8 the Medford Bicycle Advisory Commission will be participating in the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project—and  help is needed with the counting!

      Counting will be done in two 2-hour shifts each day at various locations throughout the city. The morning shift will take place from 7 to 9 a.m. and the afternoon one from 4 to 6 p.m. Last fall the Commission had enough volunteers to count at three locations, but hopes to cover even more this time.

      Counting is fun, and you are sure to learn a lot from observing how drivers, cyclists and pedestrians all use our streets. It is a great activity for kids (with adult supervision, of course) and Medford High School students can receive community service credit for participating.
