This site is dedicated to the McAllister family from Ireland who migrated to Maine and then to West Virginia, Ohio and Wyoming. My Grandmother was Lura McAllister who was born in Preston County, W.Va,in 1893, married in Moundsville, W.Va and lived in Belmont County, Ohio with husband John E Applegarth. Lura's mother, Mary Ann Doyle McAllister moved to Sheridan, Wyoming after her husband's death.
