      "Religious freedom" does NOT mean you have the freedom to use government to promote your religious beliefs - in this case, shove your religious beliefs down kids' throats in public schools. Which, of course, would be contrary to the First Amendment (the "establishment clause") - the same amendment that articulates the guarantee of religious freedom in the first place.

      Using statements selectively and deliberately ignoring the other parts that contradict you - yes, that's exactly the kind of deceitful behavior fundamentalist Christians are notorious for.
