Some may recall that that debate was the topic of some consideration in previous discussion with some who claimed that the household of Cornelius received the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Here's the propositions that were discussed in that debate:

        First proposition:

        > The Scriptures teach that both Gentiles
        > and Jews were baptized in the Holy Spirit
        > in these last days; the apostles were
        > thus baptized on the Pentecost of Acts 2,
        > Gentiles, at the house of Cornelius.

        >> Affirm: Reg Rogers
        >> Deny: Marion Fox

        Second propostion:

        > The Scriptures teach that the
        > baptism in the Holy Spirit is
        > the same as the miraculous gift
        > of apostleship.

        >> Affirm: Marion Fox
        >> Deny: Reg Rogers

While one may not wholeheartedly accept the claims of either participant, the debate is a worthwhile resource for those who might seriously consider the issue(s).

        Sincerely,
        Robert Baty
