The 1999 Addison Wesley edition of Foerster's Algebra 1 text is, as far I can tell, identical to the Prentice Hall Classics edition (Pearson) except for the cover.  The Pearson solution manual should be satisfactory for both.  However earlier Addison Wesley editions are not identical.  You can still use the solution manual, with care, but you will find some reorganization of the text, with occasional added or deleted sections.  The problems are largely unchanged across earlier editions.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the Pearson solutions manual with the Addison Wesley edition of Foersters algebra 1?
