    Message 1 of 1 , Jul 14 9:10 AM

Every summer, Maryland's Shriver Peace Corps Fellows (a.k.a.,
Peaceworkers) hold a retreat at the National Cathedral's College of
the Preachers. Please join us this summer for an ice cream social on
the scenic and serene grounds of the National Cathedral!

If you have visited the National Cathedral before, you know what a
beautiful and interesting place it is. If you haven't, definitely
make the trip. From its gardens to its greenhouse to the Cathedral
itself, your visit will be memorable.

Mix and mingle with fellow Maryland RPCV's and meet newly returned
RPCV's who are joining the Shriver Peace Corps Fellows program this
Saturday. It promises to be a great way to pass a summer evening.

WHEN: Saturday, July 19, at 7 p.m. (Come early if you would like to
walk the grounds and take a self-tour of the Cathedral.)

WHERE: College of the Preachers at the National Cathedral in
      Washington, DC

DIRECTIONS: Take I-95 to I-495 west, the Capital Beltway. Exit south
on Wisconsin Avenue. The Cathedral is approximately 6 1/2 miles on
your left. When you turn off Wisconsin Avenue, you will pass College
of the Preachers on your right, as you follow the road into the
      Cathedral grounds.

PARKING: Parking on the Cathedral grounds is free but extremely
limited. Please read signs on Cathedral grounds at individual parking
spaces. Please note that areas along yellow curb lines are not parking
spaces and must be kept clear at all times. Please note that vehicular
parking in the bus lanes that run parallel to Wisconsin Avenue is
severely restricted. These lanes are city property and you will be
ticketed by Metropolitan Police if you park there illegally.
Non-metered parking on the residential streets near the Cathedral is
also available. Please pay close attention to signs restricting
duration of on-street parking for non-residents.
Visitors with limited mobility: Parking spaces have been set aside on
North and South Roads, for those cars displaying special parking
      permits or license plates.
