Mary Stuart Masterson and husband Jeremy Davidson are expecting their first child together, her rep tells PEOPLE.

"They are really thrilled about the news," says rep Simon Halls.

The actress, 42, is due in October. The couple, who costarred in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in 2004, got married in 2006.

"I'm very happily married now," Masterson told PEOPLE in March, "and life is great."
