      Bear, nice to hear from you! Your post brought back many lovely and loving memories of Joanne. When I was struggling to find housing to    stay in NYC for a semester, she invited me to stay in her daughter's room. She was both an outstanding teacher/professor but a very special friend. Thank you for letting me re-visit memories of such a special person! Dottie
