  • Hello Everyone! I am so excited to announce the next generation of classes available through the online marbling eCourse: Clouds on Water: A Journey into the World of Marbling . Earlier this year, in beautiful partnership with the talented and inspiring duo that is Animyst, my Introduction to Paper Marbling eCourse was launched. And now I'm thrilled to rollout two new classrooms...

  • Dennis ~ That is fascinating. Do you know what brand? A quick search and it looks like Hobby Lobby stocks at least 6 different brands ~ from Crayola to SunWorks. • Hi Nancy, Huh. I have frequently refrigerated my carrageenan (sometimes for several days) and never had this problem. I get mine from Galen Berry ~ don't know if it's a sourcing issue. Or age? Is the carrageenan (in powder form) past its prime (though I've used expired carrageenen with no problems either)? Or was the temp in the refrigerator too cold? That may have had an impact...

  • Shouldn't be a problem. I often forget them soaking in the alum for hours, even days! Haven't had a problem yet.

  • I have seen this anti-bacterial tablet offered with carrageenan sold in Australia too. I'm also curious about it ~ and how it affects the bath, not only its lifespan but viscosity, etc. Any additional info on this would be very much appreciated! Can you imagine...a carrageenan bath lasting weeks in high temps?!! That would be a game changer! From: "rachelmaiden@^$1 [Marbling]" To...

  • Holly ~ I use Masa paper (made by Legion) from Dick Blick in all my classes. It's oversized so you'll have to cut it down. And when I buy it in bulk it's $1/sheet (I get four sheets for small tanks out of it and one for large tanks) including free shipping. Times like this I miss Sue Cole...she would have some good (and interesting!) input. Cheers, Barb www.BarbSkoog.com

  • Hello Marblers! For those wanting to learn how to marble or strengthen their existing practice, I've got two marbling class options. 1) The six-week guided portion of my Clouds on Water eCourse just wrapped up and I cannot even begin to express what an amazing experience it was for me and for participants. They wowed me with their tenacity, creativity, and enthusiasm and I was...
