If you have ever wanted to create marbled fabric in many different sizes, this workshop is for you!

Marble-Palooza! will introduce a new fabric marbling tray to the paper and fabric marbling class at Arrowmont in Gatlinburg, TN
September 15 – 21, 2013. Workshop participants will have the unique opportunity to marble paper and yardage of your choice in silk, cotton, rayon, bamboo, linen and ripstock nylon in three sizes of trays. Individual student trays measure 18 x 24", perfect for marbled "fat quarters." The fabled class "monster" tray measures 24 x 80" accommodating blank scarves and yardage up to 22 x 72". The newest fabric marbling tray features a 45 x 60" space fitting longer yardage up to 1 ½ yards for quilting, sewing accessories and other fabric projects. These three sizes of trays give the maximum options for marbling in a workshop setting.
Pat K. Thomas, instructor, set up the newest size tray on the July 4th weekend. She marbled cotton yardage of various dimensions, 35 x 35" silk squares, 28 x 58" ripstock nylon for banners, 44 x 60" Marble-Palooza! will introduce a new fabric tray to the paper and fabric marbling class rayon yardage. This tray was easy to make adjustments to marble the different sizes of fabrics.
Marble-Palooza! is targeted to all levels. Beginners will benefit from the small class setting and individualized attention. Marblers with experience will benefit from the use of three sizes of trays, concentration on specific patterns of choice with support in either paper or fabric or both, and the studio space available at Arrowmont. Anyone wanting unique one-of-a-kind marbled fabrics in multiple sizes, this is a perfect week to accomplish that.
Pat is a full-time studio artist/gallery owner. She has been marbling for nearly 25 years and conducting marbling and surface design workshops for a dozen years. Pat brings a vast background of marbling knowledge, energy and individualized teaching to workshop participants. Be part of a learning experience about marbling at Arrowmont. Take advantage of this opportunity to marble both paper and fabric in more sizes of trays than is usually available in a workshop. Sign up for Marble-Palooza! week, September 15 – 21, 2013!
