- Hi susanne
If i am not mistaken . this glue is called sturgeon glue and is extensively used in Russia. it is made out of bladder of a particular fish. it is a very expensive glue. for more info please check google. it is used in expensive artist canvas as covering.

... is made by boiling bones etc. of certain sorts of fish to extract the collageneous contents. A very strong and elastic adhesive, it is still used in restoration (wood, paper, textiles ... )for glueings that need to be strong as well as elastic and for glueings of differing materials (such as horn on wood). It can be used as an infill for glass and china.
Compared to fish glue (particularly if diluted with vinegar), bone glue smells like the first sunny day in spring.
