Greetings,UW System Administration is pleased to announce two open Academic Planner positions:
These full-time Academic Staff positions will develop, manage and maintain policies and programs in the following areas for the Office of Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity and Student Success:LGBTQ Programs and Student AffairsThe overall responsibilities of this position include researching and identifying effective practices that support success for all students, with a particular focus upon LGBTQ students, and for economically disadvantaged, underserved, and underrepresentedracial/ethnic minority students as well as practices that contribute to the elimination of equity gaps. This involves advocating on behalf of, and advancing effective practices through dissemination of research, knowledge, and policies concerning LGTBQ people. This position also has an array of student development and student affairs program responsibilities associated with Title IX compliance educational programs primarily in the areas of the sexual violence and assaults prevention; as well as the coordination of system wide policies, programs and initiatives on student conduct and discipline, and compliance with the Title IX program and Child Care. This position serves as back-up for the Senior Student Affairs Academic Planner.Pipeline, Student Success and Inclusive ExcellenceThis position conducts research into effective precollege and postsecondary policies and practices that contribute to welcoming and inclusive learning environments, campus life, and academic excellence; as well as practices that contribute to eliminating equity gaps and advancing student engagement and equity in all aspects of the student experience. Responsibilities include researching and identifying effective student success practices in higher education, analyzing relevant data, and policy development; preparing reports for the UW System Administration, the Board of Regents, and other governmental bodies; researching, planning and staff support for diversity-related programs and awards; and organization and support of professional development programs for relevant constituency groups and stakeholders. This position provides staff support for the Associate Vice President of IDEASS and serves as backup when necessary.
