      PLEASE DISTRIBUTE WIDELY.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, who came out publicly last year as undocumented, is coming to Madison to speak next week.  He was featured on the cover of Time Magazine about a month ago.  Time also ran his personal story about why he took that risk and why other young, undocumented people brought here as children, called DREAMERS, have been coming out and risking deportation in order to pressure the federal and local governments to stop the record high 1.5 million deportations under the Obama Administration and to make US immigration laws more humane.

Come hear his personal story in Madison on Tuesday, Oct. 9!

Below is information on Jose Antonio Vargas' visit to the UW-Madison campus
      6-7:30 pm Tuesday, October 9
at the AT&T Lounge in the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St.
