- Oct 31 8:52 PMThere are also several good photos (and the original sketch) of her wedding
dress in the new Harry Potter Film Wizardry book. One picture shows the
back, the sketch shows the side, and there is also the picture that is in
the article Mel linked to (with Bill), as well as one of her face (and
Bills) looking shocked & disgusted (probably at the Death Eaters raiding
their wedding). This one shows the front view of her odd head piece (also
visible on the back view). Jany Temime (the dress designer) is quoted,
"Fleur's dress is made in organza and decorated with a pair of phoenixes
that face one another on the bodice and form the silhouette of a heart. I
chose the phoenix because, like love, it is eternal."
I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in both the outfits warn
by the actors and also for the great props it includes. The book is $40,
but besides its 160 full color pages, it also contains the following
removable prop replicas:
- Harry's Hogwarts letter including the envelope addressed to his
cupboard
- Borgin & Burkes catalogue
- Cover of Advanced Potion-Making (creating a book of stickers of
Slughorn potions & labels--sure wish they were Snape potions and not
Slughorn potions,though)
- Cutout boxes for Sugard Butterfly Wings and Fiery Blank Pepper Imps
(and a Honeydukes advertisement)
- 422nd Quidditch World Cup Programme
- The Yule Ball Programme
- Proclamation Educational Decree #29, 30, 82, & 98
- The Marauder's Map (not as complete and fancy as the one in the Nobel
Collection, but the credits do say that it is from their map)
- Weasley's Wizard Wheezes catalogue
- Ministry of Magic Identity Card (specifically Mafalda Hopkirk's)
And possibly something else I've missed as I just flipped through the pages
looking for the extras that were tacked in.
