Lot of MT63 activity on 28.130 Sunday afternoon (CST), [1800Z -
2000Z]. At least 6 people showed up in a round table; 1 Khz, long
interleave mode. Four stations were using IZ8BLY, 2 using MIXW.
Transfered a binary (JPEG) file, which was properly received by some,
but not by all. Apparently when the requisite number of bytes are
received, the file is closed. The JPEG was decodeable by some, but
not others. Transfer speed was about ~ 1 kbyte / 2 minutes.
Overall, very impressed with the performance of MT63. Some of the
weak signals (long groundwave) still decoded well even when it was
hard to tell they were in there. Hopefully as others learn how well
it works, the activity will pick up.
