      Hi All

This is final warning that entry is due. For those that slacked off, you can paypal to funds@.... Say it is for 2013 Men's Tryout. Then forward me the info that says you sent it. I will get confirmation from Wendy as well, but I want it sooner rather than later and she shouldn't be pushed to do something that is your responsibility.

If you have any questions, email me directly. This email list will not take a reply!!

      Doug

      Hi all

This email serves as official notification of the selection tryouts for the US Men's team which will next compete in CMAS 18th Underwater Hockey World Championship to be held in Eger, Hungary. World Championships will start with warm-up days on 21st August, opening ceremony on 22nd August, with tournament play from 24th August through 31st August 2013. More information can be found on the CMAS website at http://www.cmas.org/hockey/hockey-world-championship
, under related documents click on the information pack PDF.

      Eligibility:
      Tryouts
for the 2013 US Men's National Team are open to any
male USOA Member of any age pursuant to the current CMAS rules, which I am told are available at
                      http://www.usauwh.com/media/USOA/UWHRules_v10.0_Vol1.pdf
but I have not been able to see them. So, i
f you have eligibility questions email
US Men’s Coach Doug Roth at coachduck@.... if you are not a member of USOA visit the USAUWH website to update your membership.

      Participation:
Each participant must have a complete set of gear as though you are playing at Worlds. This includes headgear, sticks and gloves. Head gear must be either black/blue or white. Yellow and other colored head gear will not be allowed. If you use wrestling headgear or something other than a polo cap where your hair is exposed you must wear a swim cap of appropriate color. Sticks must be solid in color. If a stick can be confused for the opposite color it will be removed from use for the remainder of the weekend. Gloves must be an opposing color to the stick and the puck. The tournament puck will be the CanAm Uni2. New this year, Team suits will be provided

      Selection:
The selection process will result in a number of players which will advance to the next round. The next round will be known as the Round of 16. The actual number of players selected to advance to the Round of 16 may or may not be 16. The actual count will be based on a number of factors which includes, but is not limited to, where a noticeable drop in benefit to the team occurs. Selection will be based on skills, fitness, and game play. Past performances will not be considered. Should an injury occur which prevents participation for a player wishing to tryout that player must provide a verifiable Doctor signed medical excuse and all other required paperwork, tryout fees, and deposit monies must be in. Should all the above be met, an exemption may be allowed for that player to come to the next team get-together where his skills will be evaluated and a determination will be made if they are up to team standards. Other exemptions, such as life altering events, will be dealt with on a case by case basis only if all required monies and paperwork are in.

$200 Team Deposit required for future team commitments will be held for as long as you progress through the selections and will be applied toward your World's costs if you make it that far. If you are not selected you will be refunded the deposit amount through USAUWH.
