Subject: [MPD-5D] FIFTH DISTRICT CLOSES ROBBERY IN PROGRESS!!

On Tuesday, December 07, 2010 at approximately 2217 hours, Scout car 5052 with Officers Tilley and McRae received a radio run for and Armed Robbery which just took place in front 2401 12TH Street Northeast, Washington, DC.  Officers Tilley and McRae arrived on the scene and met with the complainant.  After interviewing the complainant, it was learned that two suspects approached the complainant at gun point and robbed him of his jacket and personal items.  Officer Tilley immediately broadcasted a lookout for the suspects.  While on the scene with the complainant, Special Beat 505 with Officers Peterson and Gray advised the dispatcher that they have two subjects stopped in the 1300 block of Rhode Island Avenue matching the description of S-1 and S-2.  Officer Tilley then requested the services of a Fifth District Detective Unit.  Subsequently, a show up was conducted and both suspects were positively identified and charged with armed robbery!!! (both subjects were juveniles)

We will be cross referencing these defendants with similar robberies in the area!
