Left Lane of Inbound 11th Street Bridge Ramp to SE/SW Freeway
Closed Over O Street SE Due to Flooding from Ongoing Heavy Rain
Contractors Working to Reopen the Lane Prior to Peak Afternoon Commuter Hours
WASHINGTON, DC – Contractors for the District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) are closing the left lane of the inbound 11th Street Bridge Ramp to the Southeast-Southwest Freeway due to flooding from ongoing heavy rain.
To avoid delays, motorists are advised to consider choosing alternate routes such as exiting the bridge at the 12th Street SE and taking M Street SE to 4th Street SE to access the SE/SW Freeway or continuing on northbound I-295/DC 295 to reach points north.
Crews are working to fully reopen all lanes of the ramp to traffic in time for this afternoon’s peak commuter rush hours.
