Sounds like it's time to write a community impact statement to thank all of the bus drivers who daily serve our communities.

Not to belittle the incident, but I hope the woman was locked up for assault as well--

      Good Evening Neighbors:

Please be advised that Terrence Clark will be sentenced tomorrow at
noon in courtroom 318 before Judge Frederick H. Weisberg. Mr. Clark was
found guilty by a jury of his peers for Felony Assault and aggravated
assault knowingly . Mr. Clark became embroiled with a passenger while
he was driving a Metro bus at the Brookland Metro station on June 23,
2007. The victim allegedly spat on Mr. Clark, then he chased her and
knocked her down and assaulted her. Imagine the sight of a Metrobus
driver in uniform assaulting a woman at the Brookland Metro station
while horrified onlookers watched. Mr. Clark contributed to the overall
crime at the Brookland Metro, underscoring unacceptable dangerous and
      grossly unprofessional behavior.

Consider completing a brief ANONYMOUS community impact statement to let
Judge Weisberg know how you feel about Terrence Clark's crimes. Offer
your recommendation for sentencing. I have attached an updated
community impact statement that contains the case number and relevant
information needed to complete the form. All you have to do is open the
document, add your statement and email it to Monica Veney, the 5D
Communiy Outreach Specialist from the U.S. Attorney's Office; her email
address is monica.veney2@usdoj.gov. You may also fax your statement to
      her attention at 202 353-0121.

Finally, we can make our neighborhoods safer by taking a decisive stand
against crime. Send Mr. Clark and others that would commit such crimes
a strong message that we will not tolerate lawlessness in our
      neighborhoods.

      Kathy Henderson
