Fatal Shooting on W Street, NE
Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 1200 block of W Street, NE on the morning of March 27, 2010.
On Saturday, March 27, 2010, at approximately 2:30 AM, Fifth District officers and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the vicinity of 1200 Block of W Street NE for the report of a shooting. Officers located an adult male shooting victim near 1241 W Street NE. The victim was transported to the Washington Hospital Center ’s Medstar Unit where he was pronounced dead at 3:00 AM. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his next-of-kin.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia .
