Julia - Commander Green, Lt. Roch and Sergeant Lofish and the PSA501
officers have been very responsive to our needs and sending officers to respond
to there reports. On our Civic Association Blog, we will be discussing some things we can
do as neighbors to also assist with arrest, one of our neighbors made a
great suggestion of starting a telephone tree. The telephone tree will allow
us to call each other real time when a crime occur so we can all be on the
look out and maybe get a description of the suspects to provide to police.

Lt. Roch and Sg. Lofish have also proposed maybe having plain clothed,
undercover police officers do surveillance from a home of a neighbor in a hot
zone that wishes to be involved. This allows officers to monitor an area
without being detected and to give accurate description to other officers of
      suspicious activities, suspects or crimes.

Neighbors can also stop repeat offenders by participating in Court Watch. You can:

        1. Call judges chambers anonymously

        2. Sit in the courtroom anonymously, to let the judge know we are watching a particular case

        3. Write Community Impact Statements anonymously to tell the judge how the defendant's 'crime affects us.

These three simple but effective measures can help to get offenders off of the streets, particularly repeat offenders.
