Is this another name of the Orange Hats? If not, why are we receiving this data on these volunteers and not receiving one for the Orange Hat and other groups that patrol their neighborhoods.

Bloomingdale Community Safety Walk
At 1620 The Guardian Angels did a community safety walk with John T. Salatti Commissioner, ANC 5C04. Ten residents and one police officer from 5D attended the walk. The walk last an hour and 30 min. All went well. The Guardian Angels are looking forward to attending more safety walks in Bloomingdale
PSA 104 SW Community Safety Walk
At 1700 Hours, Guardian Angel Jordan Estrada met up with residents of 800 Potomac place for a SW community safety walk. We were shortly joined by Guardian Angels John Ayala and Allison Pinkney
Note: During the course of this safety walk, we identified a dangerous zone at the Waterfront Metro Exit. Due to construction, passengers exiting and entering the station need to pass through a narrow alley formed by two chain link fences. Further, this alley way is obscured by felt tarps placed on the fences, creating a hazardous area where passengers are vulnerable to criminal assault.
Peace In The Streets Nally Hellen Burroughs 6D
At 1916 hours, Guardian Angels John Ayala, Jordan Estrada, and Allison Pinkney attended the NE "Peace on the Streets" community event.
At 2018 we assisted with crowd control at the event while MPD officers arrested a disorderly individual.
At 2018 hours, we responded to a disturbance at the community event, assisting MPD officers in restoring order and keeping the peace.
At 2028 hours, we responded to a fight at Marvin Gaye Park and secured the rear exit of the park while police conducted arrests.
While posted at the rear exit of the park, we observed a large group of juveniles begin an altercation on the 5300 block of Dix Street, NE. We issued a priority call over the radio and immediately moved in to intervene. When we arrived on scene, a juvenile female began to beat another female with her belt. Angel Ayala detained the female while Angels Pinkney and myself shielded, as a large crowd of residents pressed in on all sides. When MPD officers arrived on scene, we provided them with details and left the situation under their control.
China Town/Gallery Place
At 2100 hours, we proceeded to China Town/Gallery Place and proceeded to patrol without incident until 2245 hours.

- Hello Commissioner Smith: The Guardian Angels are not the Orange Hats ; however, they are committed to helping make our neighborhoods safer. The GuardianMessage 2 of 4 , Jul 1, 2009View SourceHello Commissioner Smith:The Guardian Angels are not the "Orange Hats"; however, they are committed to helping make our neighborhoods safer. The Guardian Angels began in New York and have expanded to other countries. They gladly responded to my community last year when I called for assistance on the heels of several shootings and they make a positive difference wherever they patrol. We look forward to them joining us again for our safety patrols. Neighbors, our MPD officers and Guardian Angels make an excellent public safety team.Kathy
