      Good Afternoon All,

I am forwarding your request to your ANC Comm. Carolyn Steptoe.  She will collect signatures for the speed hump petitions.

DDOT will conduct a traffic study to determine if this additional stop sign is needed.

      Best,

      Alice

Hello all. My neighbors and I would like to get an additional stop sign on 14th st, at Newton, to prevent the numerous accidents that occur at this corner. We would also like to get speed humps on Newton. How does one do this? Is there a petition that can be circulated among neighbors? I looked on the DC Gov website and couldn't find anything.

Please advise if you can be of help.

      Thanks!

      Christina on Newton

PS: We had yet another accident on the corner this past Saturday evening. Two cars collided on Newton St.; one went into the stop sign on Newton & the other spun around and ran into a parked car. One of the passengers was taken to the hospital by ambulance. We're blessed that no pedestrians were in the way.

We have had as many as 3 accidents in one week.
