      The following intersection leading into the Fort Lincoln Community will be close due to holiday traffic:
      Eastern Avenue and Bladensburg Road NE
      Banneker Drive and Bladensburg Road NE
      31st Place and South Dakota Avenue NE
      33rd Place and Fort Lincoln Drive NE
       
      Only Fort Lincoln residents will be permitted to enter the community with proof of residency.  Visitors and guest must be in Fort Lincoln prior to 6pm.  Vehicular traffic will be restricted between 6pm to 9:30pm.

      You are one hundred percent correct and that is how we made arrest in the last two robberies that occurred there over the last week.  We will continue patrol this area with hopes of making even more apprehensions.

      Every time this crime summary comes out, I notice that there is some sort of crime committed at the 900 block of Rhode Island Ave. NE in 505. It seems to me that if something seems to be happening there all the time that there should be increased police presence in that particular spot and/or the business that perpetuates the crimes should be shut down....just a thought
