If these teenage loiterers are anything like the ones that frequent my block, the parents are no where to be found. None of the teenagers loitering and sitting on neighbors'  property live on this block. When I catch them on my property, which is seldom, I ask them to move on.

Have you gone and talked to these kids parents?  Do you have any type of relationship with these kids?  Or do you just shoo them away?  Whenever I have a problem with the kids I find their parents and talk to them.

DC police managed to get the grownup from loitering in my
neighborhood, and I am forever grateful. Thank you, thank you. Now,
we have to work on these kids.

Is there more that can be done about this teenage loitering? I ask
the kids to move from my property. When they don't move, I call 311.
When the police is called, sometimes they come, sometimes they don't.
When they do come, they disperse the kids, but they are back the next
      day. The exact same kids!!!

Instead of just asking the kids to move, can you take their names or
something to let them know it is not right to hangout on our property
or trash our neighborhoods. Put at least one of them in the car and
take him home or something? Can their parents or guardians be held
responsible? There has to be consequences.

L St between 17th and 19th St NE has so many kids that hangout that do
not live in the neighborhood. I am afraid one of the kids is going to
get hurt playing ball on the 1000 block of 18th St. Please, can we
      beef up patrol over here?

What is the status of the house on the corner of 18 and L NE? It is a
      playground for the kids.
