Public Notice: MPDC to Hold Vehicle Auction on Wednesday, June 15
Notice is hereby given that a public auction, will be held at 9 am on Wednesday, June, 15, 2005, at the Metropolitan Police Department's Blue Plains Impoundment Lot. Approximately 70 forfeited vehicles will be auctioned at this event.
Terms of the sale are: cash, cashier's check or certified check only. The above checks should be made out to the DC Treasurer only. No other forms of payment will be accepted. All property will be sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. All sales are final. All vehicles must be paid for immediately, no exceptions. Vehicles must be removed from the site by 3 pm on the day of the sale or they will be resold at a later date. Purchaser shall do removal of purchased vehicles with a licensed tow truck with proper equipment and identification of purchase and as required by DCMR 16, Chapter 4.
The lot opens at 8 am on the day of the sale for inspection. Inspection of vehicles will be conducted between 8 am and 9 am only. Vehicles will be auctioned from 9 am until the last vehicle is sold.
Once vehicles are purchased, the District of Columbia and the Metropolitan Police Department will not be responsible for said vehicles left outside the fenced lot to include sheppard parkway.
Notice: There will be a $100 deposit required before entering the lot. A $10 administrative fee will be deducted from the deposit whether a vehicle is purchased or not. Valid photo identification (driver's license) will also be required.
Persons entering the lot and purchasing vehicles must be 21 years or older.
