      On-Call Domestic Violence Program  (OCAP)

      The Metropolitan Police Department and SAFE,Inc. have collaborated to provide services to domestic violence victims 6:00PM-6:00AM on weeknights and 24 hours on weekends and holidays.

      Advocates can supply:
      Information about Protection Orders
      Aid filing for an Emergency  Temporary Protection Order
      Information about shelter
      Safety Planning
      Information about family services
      Emergency Resources

      If you have contacted the police and have questions about resources available, or need further emergency assistance, PLEASE ask an Officer to page an advocate during OCAP hours.  For further information please check out our website at www.dcsafe.org  or view the document posted in the files section of the listserv.  This service is currently available in the 5th, 6th and 7th police districts.
