      Suspect Sought in Assault with Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse While Armed:

      Oliver Street and Western Avenue, Northwest

       

      (Washington, DC)-  Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with an Assault with the Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse While Armed that occurred in the area of Oliver Street, NW and Western Avenue, NW.

       

      On Saturday, August 31, 2014, at approximately 11:30 pm, an adult female was in the area of Oliver Street, NW and Western Avenue, NW, when a suspect approached her and displayed a knife. The suspect attempted to remove the victim’s clothing but was unsuccessful. The victim was able to flee from the suspect.   

       

      The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, tall, with a dark complexion, wearing a dark hat, one black shoe and one white shoe, dark gloves, white long sleeve button down shirt, and dark pants. 

       

      Anyone with information regarding this case should call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. DC Crime Solvers currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.
