      Persons of Interest Sought in Armed Robbery: 1900 Block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE

       

      (Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two persons of interest in connection with an Armed Robbery which occurred at the 7-11 convenience store located in the 1900 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NW.

       

      On Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at approximately 1:35 am, two suspects entered the location, announced a robbery, brandished handguns, and robbed the establishment of US currency.

       

      The suspects were captured by surveillance cameras.

       

      The first suspect is described as a black male, 20 years of age, 5’ 7” tall, with a skinny build.  He was last seen wearing black mask, black sweatshirt hoodie, red and black gloves, and blue jeans. He was armed with a black and silver handgun.

      The second suspect is described as a black male, 5’ 11” tall, with a skinny build.  He was last seen wearing a black mask, black jacket, and black gloves.  He was armed with a black and silver handgun.

      Anyone with information that can assist in the identification of this subject is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
