Suspect Sought in Burglary: 1200 Block of G Street, NW
(Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a burglary that occurred in the 1200 block of G Street, NW.
On Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at approximately 10:20 am, a suspect smashed a display window of a jewelry store located in the 1200 block of G Street, NW. The suspect reached into the display case and removed several rings before fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early to late 20’s, approximately 5’3” to 5’6” in height, slim build, with curly black hair. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a navy blue coat with a wide horizontal stripe around the bottom, and a wide horizontal stripe around the left forearm area.
Anyone with information that can assist in the identification and location of this suspect is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any burglary committed in the District of Columbia.
