Reward Increased: Persons of Interest Sought in an Assault with Intent to Kill
(Washington, DC) - In an effort to encourage the public to share more information with police, the Metropolitan Police Department has increased the reward amount in an Assault with Intent to Kill case that occurred in the 2400 block of Benning Road, NE. The reward amount has been increased to up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible in this crime.
On Saturday, January 26, 2013 at approximately 2:18 am, members of the Fifth District received a radio run for a shooting inside of an establishment in the 2400 block of Benning Road, NE. Investigation of the scene revealed five victims had been shot and were transported to area hospital for treatment.
The suspect in this case is described as a 20-25 year-old black male, 5-feet-11 inches to 6 feet tall, with shoulder-length dreads and a full beard. He was possibly wearing all black clothing and armed with a large silver revolver.
The Police Department is also looking to identify two people of interest in this case, as described below:
Male #1: wearing no shirt, blue jeans, black boxers and a dark skullcap.
Male #2: wearing a black top and braids pinned up.
