Subject: [MPD-5D] Arrests made in a Fifth District Robbery Spree
Members of the Fifth District Day were instrumental in closing at least Two Armed Robberies that occurred today within the District of Columbia.
In our 5D case, the victim flagged down a patroling unit and reported that he in the 1500 Block of Maryland Avenue, NE. when he was approached by two suspects, one armed with a handgun and Robbed of US Currency.
Both suspects fled on foot and entered a white vehicle which fled the scene. An immediate lookout was given and a US Capital Police Cruiser monitored our lookout and got behind a White Chevy Lumina with Maryland Tags, which was occupied by three individuals at 11th and Independence Avenue SE.
A traffic stop was effected and both individuals were positively identified and placed under arrest for Robbery Hold up Gun. Recovered was a handgun that appears to be a Air Gun.
