Arrest in the Shooting in the 1000 block of 14th Street, Southeast
(Washington, DC) — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced today a suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of 14th Street, Southeast.
On Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at approximately 3:15 pm, units from the First District responded to the 1000 block of 14th Street, Southeast for the report of sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital.
On Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at approximately 10:25 pm, 18 year-old Javon Hale of Southeast, DC, was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant and charged with Assault With Intent To Kill while Armed.
